
In a significant recognition of documentary filmmaking excellence, “Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story” has been nominated for the prestigious 85th Annual Peabody Awards. The nomination was announced alongside other contenders in the Documentary, News, Public Service, and Radio/Podcast categories.
The documentary chronicles the remarkable life of Christopher Reeve, the actor who became globally known for his portrayal of Superman before suffering a life-altering spinal cord injury in 1995. Following his accident, Reeve transformed into a real-life hero through his tireless advocacy for disability rights and spinal cord research.
The Peabody Awards, among the most respected honors in media, recognize stories that powerfully illuminate the human condition and make valuable contributions to public understanding. The remaining nominees in the entertainment, children/youth, arts, and interactive & immersive categories will be announced on April 17.
