Joey Spencer’s team rips dressing room camera off the wall
Pressure? Mind games?
Joey Spencer doesn’t like there being a camera in the dressing room, which is pretty standard fare in boxing circles, and has ripped it out the wall.
Koen Mazoudier wins the Australian Championship
All three judges are in agreement: 98-91, 100-89, 99-90.
That was a brutal fight, but a wide margin on the scorecards.

He wants all the fighters.
“Anyone who thinks they can beat me, bring it on,” he says, as the camera flashes to Nikita Tszyu, who handed him his only defeat by TKO.
Nikita says “I’d probably rather not, it was a tough fight” but seems at least a bit open to it.
That was not a great performance from Mazoudier, very untidy. He’s a lot better than that.
Mazoudier vs Hill, Round 10
Looks like this one is going all the way – final round.
Both men are showing the effects of his close-quarters battle.
It’s been the sort of toe-to-toe, trench warfare battle that is hard to enjoy too much to be honest.

Mazoudier vs Hill, Round 4
Some good shots land at the start of the round from Mazoudier.
But he’s being patient – Hill looking a little unsteady but he has recovered OK I think from that heavy knockdown.
Mazoudier lands with a left hook – he is so much better when he’s fighting at range but is really struggling to keep that distance. Hill is going inside and working nicely.
He doesn’t appear to be hurting Mazoudier though, even when he does get inside.
That was good from Hill though, a solid body shot and then he wears one on the chin.
Hill over the top that time – Mazoudier just backing off a little bit.
Is Mazoudier biding his time?

Sam Goodman confirms next fight

Sam Goodman has just confirmed his next fight.
He will be in action against Mexican Cesar Espinoza on May 14.
Goodman is the number one ranked super bantamweight in the IBF, but had to turn down a fight against Naoya Inoue after suffering cuts to his eyes in training.
“The cuts all good, I’m back into sparing … let’s hope it all holds up through the camp,” Goodman tells Main Event.
Callum Peters wins by TKO
A very good win for Callum Peters, really nice power, good shot selection and just relentless pressure from the Paris Olympian.
He does get caught. Against a better fighter that is going to cause problems and he’s going to need to improve that as he goes forward.
But that’s a great win and moves him to 2-0 in his fledgling professional career.
“Well done mate, you’re awesome,” says Lenehan as Peters is about to be interviewed.
Peters is speaking now.
“It’s a lot different to the amateur scene,” he says.
He adds that he “can’t wait for the next one”.
He’ll need new shoes for that next one though – because he’s just thrown his yellow trainers into the crowd.

PETERS WINS!
Callum Peters is a personality
Olympian Callum Peters up next
A second professional fight coming up for the Paris Olympian, who was beaten by split decision in Paris by Kazakh fighter Nurbek Oralbay in the Men’s 80kg.
Oralbay went on to win the silver medal.

It was a tough result – I’m not sure it was a robbery as was just suggested on the Main Event broadcast, but a tight defeat nonetheless.
He was brilliant on professional debut though against Mitch Holden, winning by first round TKO.
He takes on William Lenehan, a former amateur opponent of Peters’ in this catchweight, 78kg contest.

Isaias Sette with the win!
We go to the judges scorecards.
This could be close.
A unanimous decision 48-46 from all three judges to Isaias Sette!
“I felt good, that upper cut was there, ready to chin him,” Sette says.
“My biggest thing was not to get ahead of myself.”
Good comeback after back-to-back defeats for Sette.
Walton was game, but was relying on that one shot, the overhand right.
