FRANCE DOMINATES THE MEN’S EVENT
An outstanding performance by the French team led to a French podium sweep in the men’s final. Léo Favot, a gold medalist at the European Cup Klagenfurt 2024, and bronze medal winner at last month’s event in Munich, Germany, won the gold medal with 69.8 points, delivering a strong performance in the final round with two tops.
Favot said about his performance and the upcoming weeks: “I felt good in the final, not like the semi-final. This round was really good, when we made the observation all boulders looked cool, and it was a round like we expected. I am happy to send and top the boulders I did, I wanted to do the last one also, I was close but didn’t make it. It was a really good competition. I will go to the first World Cup in China, I need to make good results and see what is coming for the rest of the season.”
Joining Favot on the podium were his teammates Antoine Girard, who put up a great fight until the very end and finished just 0.2 points behind Favot, and Noé Moutault, who secured the bronze with 59.9 points.
