In the last few seasons of Brett Gardner’s 14 years as a Yankees outfielder, his young children, both boys, sometimes were at his side right after the final out of day games at Yankee Stadium.
This started not long after the boys could walk. Jessica Gardner, Brett wife’s, would walk them to the clubhouse door, then they’d be let in and sprint as fast as they could to dad’s locker.
