WWE Raw
The WWE Raw on Netflix debut feels like a cross between a premium live event and a super episode of Raw. The cool thing is, I’m not entirely sure what to expect, and that’s part of the intrigue.
Raw on Netflix begins Monday, January 6, and it marks the first time the show will be available live on a streaming platform.
Why do I feel like this show has some PLE vibes? Take a look at the card and the viewing information.
WWE Raw on Netflix

WWE Raw on Netflix Card
- Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa (Tribal Combat Match)
- CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins
- Women’s World Championship — Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley
- Drew McIntyre vs. Jey Uso
The Reigns-Sikoa match should be the main event, but the CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins match has arguably been more heavily sold and marketed. Punk and Rollins delivered a masterful back-and-forth mic session on the last episode of Raw on USA.
If that didn’t sell you on the match, you probably don’t like professional wrestling.
The ongoing Bloodline storyline needs a new layer or a spark. The Netflix debut seems like the perfect spot to add something juicy that will have fans talking into the next week.
A debut of Hikuleo, Zilla Fatu, or the return of The Rock could provide the extra push needed as we get closer to the Royal Rumble. On the outskirts of the Bloodline story is Drew McIntyre’s obsession with the group.
He takes on Jey Uso in what could turn out to be a piece of the puzzle.
There has seemingly been a change in the plans for the Women’s World Championship match. Liv Morgan is still defending her title against Rhea Ripley, but the match is now listed as a normal singles clash.
Originally, it was called a Last Woman Standing match. There’s been no explanation for the change, but in all of the most recent callouts to the match, it’s no longer being referred to as a LWS clash.
Aside from those four strong matches, expect to see a plethora of cameos. John Cena’s retirement tour will kick into full swing. Becky Lynch and Logan Paul are expected to return. We’ll find out what Paul’s next program will be; he says he wants to be WWE champion.
With Lynch returning and her husband Rollins embroiled in a feud with Punk, is there a possibility this would be the ideal time for the latter’s wife and former WWE legend, AJ Lee, to make her return to the WWE?
Triple H is a good bet to kick off the show, and there figures to be an interruption to his intro from someone of prominence.
While I expect the entire episode to stand on its own and deliver a definitive statement, I’m also expecting multiple cliffhangers as WWE will attempt to hook any new viewers.
