The Portland Trail Blazers were favored to defeat the Charlotte Hornets Saturday night at the Moda Center.
But it’s doubtful many thought the Blazers would set a franchise record in the process.
Anfernee Simons led the Blazers with 25 points, while Toumani Camara, Jabari Walker, and Shaedon Sharpe each scored 20., with a 53-point margin of victory. The win broke a record that stood since 1982.
“That’s pretty incredible for such a storied franchise,” Blazers coach Chauncey Billups said.
