READ: Wars and conflicts in Africa and Europe common themes at G20 gathering
International relations expert, Patrick Kadima commented on the proceedings saying, “You can’t have trade without peace.”
Kadima explained the significance of the G20 foreign leaders meeting taking place in South Africa.
He said, “It is very important that this G20 summit is being held, for the first time, on African soil. For the first time it’s being held in South Africa, a country that has led this continent in various initiatives including peace, mediation on the continent, trade issues… Pretoria has always been leading in those areas.”
