Russia Blames Ukrainian Drones For Kazakhstan Plane Crash Involving Azeri Aircraft
The head of Russia’s state aviation agency said Friday that the airspace was shut down over the Russian city of Grozny in the North Caucasus when an Azerbaijani plane that later crashed in Kazakhstan tried to land. The crash killed 38 people and left all 29 survivors injured. In a video statement, the head of Russia’s Federal Agency for Air Transport, Dmitry Yadrov, said that authorities shut down the airspace following attacks by Ukrainian drones on Grozny and Vladikavkaz.
