The term and conditions for a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Gaza based Hamas militant group is being finalised as a report by Axios claimed that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is all set to lay out a plan on Tuesday for rebuilding and governing Gaza.
Quoting three US officials, Axios reported that Blinken will detail the plan of governing Gaza after the Israel-Hamas war is over and a ceasefire deal is signed between them.
In the last week of the presidency, Joe Biden’s administration is hoping that a ceasefire deal or a rebuilding plan could become a reference point for any future plans being charted out, including by the incoming President-elect Donald Trump’s administration.
In an effort to conclude the Gaza ceasefire deal and release of hostages, Blinken will reportedly present the blueprint of the plan on Tuesday morning in a speech at the Atlantic Council.

Blinken has already presented the blueprint of the reconstruction of Gaza plan after the ceasefire deal is signed, to several allies of the United States.
And in a press briefing last week in Paris, he said “We are ready to hand that over to the Trump administration so it can work on it and run with it when the opportunity is there.”
Separately, two Israeli officials have said that Hamas could release 33 hostages in the first phase of an emerging ceasefire agreement which is being finalised in Doha, reported CNN.
President-elect Trump, in a statement regarding the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas said, “I understand that there has been a handshake and they are getting it finished — maybe by the end of the week.”
President Joe Biden, stating about the deal said, “The deal we have structured would free the hostages, halt the fighting, provide security to Israel, and allow us to significantly surge humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians who suffered terribly in this war that Hamas started. They have been through hell.”
