UCLA returns for their third week in a row of competition and is 3-2 on the season in dual action. Last time out, the Bruins beat UC Santa Barbara but fell to Utah in a tri-meet in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The dive squad will also participate in the Cal Diving Invitational on the campus of Cal Berkeley. The dive squad will open the three-day event on Thursday with the 1m competition on Thursday, the 3m event on Friday, and the platform discipline on Saturday. Each day will start at 11 am PT from the Spieker Aquatic Center at Cal.
UCLA has finished first in every competition it’s entered so far this season except for two, winning the five-team Fresno State Invitational, before earning their lone dual meet win to date, beating Arizona, 189-106 on senior day at the Spieker Aquatics Center.
The Bruins followed those strong results with a fourth-place finish at the Ohio State Invitational. The field featured three squads ranked in the top 15 at the time of the meet, plus UCLA.
After the Ohio State Invitational, the Bruins went to Las Vegas for the FINIS UNLV Invitational. At the meet the Bruins finished the 2024 portion of the calendar strongly, taking first place in the six-team field. Following the UNLV Invitational the Bruins beat UC San Diego 177-103, but fell to No. 12 Wisconsin 195-86 at the UCSD-Wisconsin tri-meet.
The Bruins have had multiple standout performances throughout the fall portion of the season. 14 Bruins have earned NCAA “B’ cut standards across 10 events.
